Poreklo in zgodovina prebivalcev
na tleh Evrope sta v dobri meri še nepoznana, zamolčana ali napačno predstavljena. Projekt Korenine je namenjen
odkrivanju jezikovnih, kulturnih in drugih podatkov o staroselcih
v Evropi iz različnih vidikov, kar lahko pripomore k boljšemu
poznavanju evropskega zgodovinskega dogajanja v daljni preteklosti.
Jedro posvetovanj predstavljajo arheološki in pisni viri, zemljepisna imena,
jezikoslovne in genetske sledi, verovanja, legende, običaji in drugi
podatki, ki osvetljujejo organizacijo, sporazumevanje in sodelovanje
evropskih staroselcev v posameznih dobah preteklosti.
Cilj projekta je osvetlitev spreminjanja bivalnih razmer in človeškega delovanja
od zadnje ledene dobe do razpada Rimskega cesarstva ter predstaviti
vse staroselske značilnosti, ki so še v današnjem času ugotovljive
v genetskem zapisu, v jezikovnih podobnostih in drugih značilnostih
in to v izvirni ali v spremenjeni obliki.

The early history of the European
nations is still not well known. The aim of the Korenine Project is to
discover and disclose historical, linguistic, cultural and other
sources of information about the ancient inhabitants of Europe,
taking into account various aspects, which can contribute to an
improved knowledge of the events in the distant past.
The core of the conference should be archaeological facts and written
documents, toponyms, genetic traces, beliefs, mythology, legends,
customs and other data which could help to reveal the organisation,
communications and cooperation of the ancient inhabitants in Europe
during particular epochs of the distant past.
What is expected and most welcome is to elucidate the changes of
the living conditions and activities during the last Ice Age, after
it, as well as the whole historical period BC and during the first
millennium AD. It is important to bring forward all the significant
characteristics of the ancient population, which can still be established
today in the genetic records, linguistic similarities and other
features, which are either preserved in the original or changed
forms. |
